Marianne: Closet Math.

I really, really wish I'd gotten this skirt a size or two smaller. Not only is it a little boxy through the hips, the waistband is so big that I can't tuck a top in without covering it up with a belt. Which I did, to rather rumpled effect, here. However, it would have been way too short if I'd sized down. I need to just get it tailored. I do credit this skirt with making me want to wear skirts more often, so that's something.
But regardless, I like this kind of math. What do you think?

  2. It's so versatile! I see what you're saying about it being boxy but it's not really bad. That metallic tweed one is fantastic. If you got that one in a smaller size, could you just get the hem taken down an inch or so?

  3. Hmm...maybe. Or I could get it in the bigger size and have it taken in as well. I'm not shopping but I keep going back to look at it.

  4. I was checking out the waistband on the tweed one. It has some interesting detail. Dropping the hem would be easier and cheaper but still may not be long enough.
