Review: Grana Mongolian Cashmere.

Disclosure: Just a head's up that this is a sponsored review. The company who sponsored it compensated me via a gift or something else of value in exchange for a review. Please know I'd never write a sponsored post for an item or service for which I wouldn't spend my own money. All opinions are my own!

When Grana contacted me with an offer of some of their Mongolian cashmere items I was basically like, "You want to send me cashmere? MARRY ME." In seriousness, I'd been curious about Grana since they sell cotton, silk and cashmere (and denim, linen, etc) items that are similar in price to Everlane but a bit more my style. I chose the Cashmere Boyfriend Cardigan, the Cashmere Longline Cardigan and the Lightweight Cashmere Scarf.

First, the Boyfriend Cardigan

I got this in a size small and it's definitely a bit oversized, but in that wonderful, slouchy, comfy way. I loved it the minute I pulled it out of the box. The color, of course, is lovely but the cashmere! It's so good, you guys. Heavy, super-soft and really warm.

Looks good from the back, too. You know how sometimes when you get something new you put it away until you're ready to wear it? Not with this sweater. I put it on and didn't take if off for the whole long weekend. It's basically family now.

I also like that it's long enough to give some coverage and oversized enough that I can actually wear it buttoned up all the way:

Unfortunately it looks like the blue colorway has sold out (along with most sizes!) since I got this, but a few of their pullover cashmere sweaters are also available in this color. Next, the Cashmere Longline Cardigan:

I got this in a medium based on the size chart, but I should've paid more attention to the specific measurements they provide, because it's definitely too big on me. I will probably send it to Marianne (with the promise of an IG outfit photo!) but I have to say, it's REALLY nice. Like a sleek-yet-cozy cashmere robe. Just the nicest weighty cashmere in a very wearable shape.

I really like the side slit detailing, the big pockets and the soft heather grey color, I just probably should've gotten a size down. Finally, I was sent the Lightweight Cashmere Scarf. You guys:

Don't I look happy? I am so glad I picked this! It is my new favorite scarf and, like the boyfriend cardigan, I've been wearing it nearly every day. It's feathery-light but warm, not itchy at all, and is the prettiest silvery grey color:

The best thing about it? It's so big and sheer that it could very easily work as a nice wrap over a fancy party dress:

Or, you know, over whatever you happen to be wearing that isn't a fancy party dress. I highly recommend it. The scarf comes in three colorways and would make a fantastic gift for someone you really, really like.

Overall, I was incredibly impressed by the quality and wearability of the Grana items I tried and I'll definitely put them on my list for future purchases. (This silk boyfriend shirtdress has my name on it, don't you think?)  If you're tempted, here’s a referral link that will get you 10% off your first order, plus they are offering free shipping on all orders until December 31!

  1. Waiting in Grana items from their sale. Now I'm worried everything will be too big. I don't normally do fs with things I haven't tried. We'll see. For now I can even get a working tracking number from them. I ordered the boyfriend cardi, a vneck, and a few cotton items. I have a scarf like yours from Nordies and I did in fact wear it as a wrap. It was perfect.

    1. Thanks for reading! My boots are Vince Camuto "Hadley" but they're a few years old.
