Do you ever go to a website and create your perfect fantasy outfit? Just me? Well, that's what I did today - I scoured Nordstrom Rack for an outfit that felt very ME and now I'm all sad because none of this stuff is mine. Wah wah. It's cute though:

Okay, that headline is a lie. There was some "best of" stuff on sale at Madewell with the extra 40% off code YESPLEASE but a lot of it sold out immediately. My favorite coated jeans? Sold out. I haven't been in school for more than 20 years but I work on a college campus so it kind of feels like I'm perpetually in school. And, while I'm not AT ALL ready for summer to be over I'm okay with back-to-school shopping - it always felt like a chance to reinvent my style. I was an art school kid, so here's my art school kid wish list:

Marianne recently got a small structured Cambridge Satchel bag (in white) that I'm a little obsessed with. I'd like something like it for the fall since most of my bags are hobo-style and a bit on the larger side. Here's what I found that I really like:
