Hotness is International.
M: I'm sad that swimming is over. But you know what that means?
A: NICE SMILE HI THERE PRETTY EYES.
M: RIGHT?
A: Meep.
M: I just found a picture that let's just say may not exactly be safe for work.
M: Also, his arms. Dang.
A: PICTURE PLEASE.
M: (NSFW) Ooooh.
A: WOW. GOD BLESS... AMERICA(?)
M: TEAM USA!
A: I had to check to make sure he was one of us, that's how much I don't care. Hotness is international as far as I'm concerned and I am a FAN.
M: Oh, certainly. We are the world, etc.
A: Toterly. Also, I'm imagining this shot put thingy is actually my face:
M: He is giving you a loving caress!
A: It's making him happy to think about it:
M: GOLD MEDAL IN SMILING!
A: GOLD METAL IN FUCKING ADORABLE!
M: I forgot what it's like without the Olympics.
A: Wait, what? What are you talking about?
M: Nothing! Don't mind me!
A: Marianne...?

Adrien: Just a Peek.
I'm having camera issues this week, so no outfit photo, but I did manage this shot of my shoes and bag, which I'm sure is exciting. The bag is a Nina find from Marshall's. Super structured and reminiscent of an LV Alma, which I have no chance of ever affording. I'm pretty happy with my Marshall's version, though:
Bag: Pulicati (pricey similar) (inexpensive similar)
Shoes: Frye Iris (similar)
Polish: OPI Red Hot Ayers Rock

Marianne: So cold. So freaking cold.
Don't adjust your monitor, I am in fact dressed for fall on this very hot and humid day. But you see, my office, like so many places of business, thinks that the ideal indoor temperature is somewhere between "meat locker" and "igloo". So while it's fun to wear all of the summer dresses I love, I end up with my teeth chattering and fingers clinched in a rictus of frostbitten pain.

And so, I layer. Once again, my most favorite jacket saves the day, keeping me covered without being uncomfortably (or unseasonably) heavy. And yes, that's a WOOL scarf in my purse. I'm that cold.
I bought this top for $10 at T.J. Maxx, because hello. $10 striped shirt? Okay! I like it but I think it has a bit too much going on. Contrast stripes plus epaulets plus tiny pockets plus button placket plus button sleeves. It's kind of a lot. I love the raglan hem, though.
Do you see what I mean? Like it was hit with all of the garment construction details possible. Aside: I've been using some Josie Maran Tinted Moisturizer for a couple of weeks now and I am in LOVE. I like it even more than the Bobbi Brown stuff and it doesn't break me out like Laura Mercier. Seriously, this stuff is worth seeking out. I am wearing it in Linen, because I'm fairly tan at the moment, and it makes my skin glow. I don't even add concealer on top of it. Such good stuff and I think the tube will last for quite a while.

Adrien: Pre-Pre-Fall Boots.
It is too early to talk about boots? Because I want to anyway. Every fall (or pre-fall. Or, pre-pre-fall. Shut up.) I get obsessed with a particular pair of boots. Last year it was these. And these. This pre-pre-fall I have decided that I want a pair of tough-ish ankle boots with a bit of a heel.
I'd already eyed the Acne Pistol:
But I had to try and forget about them immediately because they're out of my price range. Like, way out. Asshole boots. Then, stupid Gwyneth sent me her Goop thing and these were in it:
OH MY GOD. Stop it, Goopy! Ugh. She is just hateful with her perfect, perfect boots. They are perfect. Exactly what I want. And just as expensive as the Acne pair. So then I start scrambling for a less-expensive version to try and displace The Want onto something I can actually, reasonably obtain. I found these:
Really cute, right? I will probably buy one of these, for sure. But. BUT. I still want the perfect ones. Ugh. I'm going to go sulk in a corner now.

A sweep is as lucky, as lucky can be.
A: We are gonna need to discuss this.

M: I feel like...what? What is happening with those pants?
A: Is that what those are? Pants? Because it looks like she's wearing GIANT POCKETS.
M: Maybe that's the next big thing. Just...pockets.
A: What is she digging for? Hopefully a handful of nickels to throw at the SHobbit.
M: Maybe a stepstool.
A: Maybe a better outfit.
M: Surely she has something in there more suitable. With our luck it's a romper.
A: Well, she certainly has room for one under there.
M: I'd say she has room for an entire Forever 21 rack of rompers.
A: That sweater too. It's...certainly... I quit.
M: The hat, the backpack, the little shoes, the bike. She had some kind of checklist.
A: Maybe she's a chimney sweep?
M: Chim-chim-cherreeeee!
A: I QUIT.

Adrien: All The Things.
I talked about them here and then stalked stalked stalked until they got ridiculously marked down. (The price has shot way back up again which I am so confused by. What is that?)
Anyway:
dress: Target (similar) (another cute Target dress)
sandals: Chie Mihara Trampa (sweet Chie Mihara sandals on sale)
bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (similar) (another purple satchel)
bracelet: Giles & Brother skinny railroad cuff
beaded bracelet: Twist Style

PSA: We Are Kind of Awesome.
So, hi there. Did you guys know that we have a Tumblr? The link is up there under the masthead but we thought we'd mention it here too because the world needs SHobbit photos paired with baby animals, right? Don't argue, it just does:
Right? Right. Sartorial Zoo. Love it! Link it! Pass it on!
