THIRTY TWO.

A: I'm reading the comments on a Lululemon blog and WOW. Just wow. One girl is freaking out because they're discontinuing her favorite tank. She's all, "I HAVE 32 OF THEM!!"

M: 32!!! Why on earth would you need 32 of ANYTHING.

A: I KNOW RIGHT.

M: Crazy Lululemon freaks. Sheesh.

A: I'm kind of relieved that I hate everything they've been making lately. They just came out with a cycling line that is a total joke. I mean:

Really?

What the fuuuuuuck?

M: That is. What?

A: It's a little ruffle skirt to wear over bike shorts. I HAVE NEVER.

M: That is insufferable.

A: Then there's this, which looks like a factory accident:

No comprende

M: WHAT I HAVE 32 OF THOSE.

A: Actually, the tank that girl is freaking out over is one of my favorites too, but I don't have 32 OF THEM.

M: 32! 32 overpriced workout tank tops! 32!

A: I know! That's like, a used CAR's worth of tank tops.

M: That is a tank top vacation.

A: I am going to do the math because I'm a jerk. 32 tanks @ $52 per tank is A LOT OF MONEY.

M: Don't forget tax! At least $1,800 on TANK TOPS FOR THE LOVE.

A: That's assuming she paid full price for them BUT STILL. THAT IS A LOT OF TANK TOPS. I need to go lie down.

No more Brace Face.

No more braces!
M: So, since I got my braces off, I am all LIPSTICK! Color! Wooooooo! Anyway, I bought this in Two Ton Tomato, and it's fantastic. A nice bright but sheer color, not sticky, and moisturizing.

Clinique Chubby Stick (heh)

A: Oh, EXCITEMENT!

M: Also, I have a sample of Benefit Bella Bamba and uggggggghhhhh it's so good. It makes me mad.

BeneFit Bella Bamba

A: I'm still a big fan of Dandelion but the price still makes me mad.

BeneFit Dandelion

M: I don't even really understand what Dandelion is. Maybe when you are here you can put some on me and make me love it and then I'll be mad at you too.

A: They call it something dumb like "finishing powder" but it's just blush. It's nice, though.

M: I feel like it wouldn't show up on me. That danged Bella Bamba makes me look like I've just come back from a tropical vacation, though. JERKS.

A: It might be too pale for you. You know what I've been loving lately? This:

Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

A sweet friend gave it to me for my birthday back in January and I've started using it again. It's nice! Brightens up my undereyes and shit.

M: Ooooh, I love anything with a secret. I forgot to tell you that I got this palette for my birthday, and it's really nice. With the braces OFF (have I mentioned that), and lipstick back in rotation, it's nice to tone down the eye makeup a bit.

Bobbi Brown Ultra Nude Palette

A: Oh, that's so nice! Stop making me want stuff!

M: Sorrrrrrry. (I'm not sorry)

A: I feel like I'm wearing too much makeup on a daily basis but I don't think it looks bad? I don't know.

M: Eh. Wear what makes you feel good! I think most people could stand to wear a bit more makeup.

A: Agree.

Marianne: Leopard Confession.

I have a confession that won't surprise any of you who follow me on Twitter: I got my braces off a week and a half ago. I know. I KNOW. Trust me, it's killing me to still be posting pictures with braces on. But, I liked this outfit, and I am inherently lazy, so yeah. Here we go.

This skirt is a little big, but not unwearably so. Rather, it is so ridiculously comfortable that I kind of feel like I'm wearing sweatpants. Paired with my very favorite super soft and perfectly slouchy t-shirt, an old necklace of my grandmothers (accented with a necklace Adrien made me), and topped with my favorite ancient denim shirt, I felt good. Even with braces.
This is the last picture of me with braces I will post on this blog.

It's Friday! You know what that means...

A: Ooooh look:

source: The Sartorialist

A: The best ones are always in Italy! Except I think that bag is probably nicer than anything I own. And he has a heart tattoo. And probably smells bad. I think I just talked myself out of him.

M: Gay.

A: Well, that wraps that up. Happy Friday, everyone.

M: Haha. Okay, fine. He is attractive in that "semester abroad in Italy dude you fall in love with and then find out he's Valentino's House Boy" kind of way. That said, I approve.

A: But, would he date you? Or at least pretend to for a little while?

M: He would let you buy him drinks and dinner and gaze into your eyes and make you feel like you are the only woman on earth.

Or something.

A: That totally works for me.

M: Me too. Heart tattoo and all.

A: He's deliciously mussed. It must take hours to look so perfectly mussed.

M: Hours and hours.

A: Sigh. So high maintenance.

Adrien: Dang, Nina.

Nina has been thrift store shopping and you know what that means. While she hasn't (yet) found an Hermes Kelly bag for $5.00, she did find me this perfectly adorable Target dress for $1.25. One dollar. One Quarter. Perfect condition. Say it together:  "Dang, Nina." (And no, you can't have her.)

Always with the cardigan.

So, what's the best thing in your closet that cost less than $10? Do tell.

Unique Problem Areas.

I am insufferable.
A: I just read the latest Goop.

A: FIRST TIP: BE VERY WEALTHY AND FLY FIRST CLASS.

M: Duh

A: Then I got to the Tracy Anderson leggings thing and my head burst into flames.

M: I couldn't even read that far.

A: Go take a look. She has leggings that target your UNIQUE PROBLEM AREAS.

M: That BITCH.

A: Tracy Anderson's unique problem area is HER HEAD.

M: Haaaaa.

A: I wonder if there's a hat that will address that?

M: bigheadcaps.com

A: Perfect.

M: In the interest of total disclosure, I am having trouble thinking of anything remotely funny to say about Goop.

A: It mostly just angers me. Or makes me feel poor. Or both.

M: It's too hot to think about.

A: That's just the compression from the Tracy Anderson You Are Flawed brand leggings.

M: Ugh!

A: I know.

Marianne: Addict.

"Ass it up with a cardigan"
Okay, so I seem to have a leeeeetle problem with Tibi dresses. As in, I keep finding them for cheap on eBay and I can't stop myself and oops! New dress. This one had awful pictures, but it was $20, so I took a chance.
What am I looking at? A bird?
And boy, am I glad I did. What I thought was your basic polyester jersey dress turned out to be a gorgeous, vibrant silk jersey.  It's a bit big (I am typically a medium in Tibi, this is a large), so I might eventually get the top taken in, but otherwise it was worth every penny.
Un-assed up

Tell me, is there a brand that is your kryptonite? One of those designers that, if you can find it under x dollars, you will buy every time? Spill it.
