Can't Stop Won't Stop.

M: So....how many pairs of sequined joggers have YOU looked at since we last talked?

A: Um. Four. Maybe five. Okay, six.

M: I have no fewer than five tabs open right now. However these just came up in my search, and SOLD.

A: Wow. I like that they give you helpful wearing options:

For Yoga, Maternity, Casual, For Summer or Autumn, Hammer Time, Beach, Street Dance, day-to-day relaxation, you can wear it around the house and travel.

A: I might have edited it slightly.

M: I seem to have been led astray.

M: Also I'm getting ads for yoga AND rave wear now, so.

A: That is a bargain and I think you need to focus.

M: Help.

A: Girl, NO. But these tho:

M: Those are baggier than I want. I think I want more of a sequin pant? Legging? Something to wear with a big cozy gin sweater.

your gin is waiting

A: I'm sorry, did you not start this conversation with Hammer pants?

M: I'm easily distracted. Ooh:

M: Oooh.

M: OOOOOOOH:

A: I found these and I love them but they're too many dollars:

A: This pair is for or when you want to wear sequins, but also blend in:

M: Yes those are very subtle.

A: I mean, CAMO SEQUINS. Duh.

M: Well I've gone and done it. I ordered the Nasty Gal leggings because they have a high waist and will actually be long enough and I'll wear them to all three holiday parties I'm invited to. And work. And pre-lounge. Done.

A: Yay! Please to post on Instagram because I'm bumming everyone out with my puffer coat. I have completely failed.

M: I can't say this is my MOST practical purchase.

A: Uh, pre-lounge? Work? Party wear? Practical doesn't even begin to describe them.

M: I really do need some pre-lounge pants. And apres-lounge.

A: I'm suddenly feeling bleak and sequinless.

M: I'm sorry for your loss.

A: *sigh*

Sequined Joggers: Full Circle.

A: I have closed out, like, six online shopping cart windows today.

M: Yeah just 🙅

A: The deals are so good but I don’t NEED any of it.

M: Nope.

A: I have to keep reminding myself that I’m actually trying to get rid of stuff, not get more stuff.

M: Right and no, no you don't need sequined joggers, you really don't.

A: Shit. I do, though.

M: I do too.

A: Why. For where.

M: For...a Christmas party...?

A: A Christmas party I throw myself. Just me and the bourbon and the cookies.

M: And your fancy, fancy sweatpants.

A: I love this idea.

M: Pair with your favorite gin sweater and Uggs!

M: Party on.

A: But seriously, where do I get sequined joggers.

M: Better question is where DON'T you.

A: HOLY shit:

M: So many.

M: But Shana is to blame.

A: Those are so cute on her.

A: I want the Target pair. Who am I?

M: That Target pair will make you cry like it's Election night.

A: Too soon, Marianne.

M: 😭😭😭

A: Do you think I can wear sequined joggers to work?

M: "Work"

A: So, no.

A: I can just seriously think of MANY ways sequined joggers can fit into my everyday wardrobe:  Lounge. Party lounge. Pre-gym. Post-gym. Pre-race. Post-race. Podium pics. Liquor store run. Target run. They just make everything fancier.

M: Pre-lounge.

A: Yes.

A: Actually, probably not for Lounge because sequins aren’t comfortable.

M: Chafe city.

A: So festive, so poke-y.

…Later…

M: I leave for Mexico soon!

A: Mexico? How did I not know about this?

M: Chris's best friend’s wedding.

A: Oh, how nice to be able to get away!

M: I'm looking forward to it.

A: Yay. What are you going to wear to the wedding?

M: No idea. A sack.

A: SEQUINED JOGGERS.

M: Duh

A: If not in Mexico, where.

M: Sand + sequins

A: ✨✨✨✨✨✨

Marianne: Fancy

Chris and I were lucky enough to be invited to a really lovely wedding last weekend. I so rarely really dress up, so it was nice to get to pull out one of my favorite dresses (and pray that it fit). This Banana Republic silk number is my favorite color and manages to be both flattering and comfortable. It even has pockets!
The evening was cool, so I pulled out this vintage fur wrap. I can't imagine ever buying fur new but I love this 50's wrap. It has straps to keep it on your shoulders and pockets on the inside for your lipstick or a compact.
Rounding things off, a vintage crystal necklace I scored on eBay a million years ago. The silly girl was selling her French grandmother's costume jewelry for pennies. I wish I had bought more.
Lastly, my new favorite red shoes. Red and yellow is a little ketchup-and-mustard, but I like it. And I needed the more sturdy heel, as the wedding was outside. All in all, I felt like I was a modern Mad Men girl.
