TJ Maxx Clearance Report: The Best Under $100 Buys!

Every so often I'll troll the clearance section of TJ Maxx to see what's good. In this case, I was alerted by Nina that there were some Lulu Frost pieces on clearance for $20 so I scurried right over to look and then kept on digging. Here are some of the best clearance bargains I found, all of them under $100:

Lulu Frost! $20! I mean, that right there would make any basic dress or top a party, right? So pretty!

It also comes in a single pendant version that I think is a lot of fun. $20! I can't get over it.

This is Kenneth Jay Lane and it's a bit crazy, but that agate is gorgeous and it's all of $22.
Now, time for bags:

Oh, hello. This is a dead ringer for my Miu Miu bag, isn't it? Cole Haan, $80. Go get it!

I also really like this Radley crossbody which look super high end and is also $80.

Of course I'm going to hit you with some Frye. This little wristlet is $32 and would make a great gift.

Final bag - this cute nylon backpack is Rebecca Minkoff and it's $32. I know.
Now, clothes:

This beautiful Hannah Rose wrap is cashmere and it's marked down to $43. I feel like I'm doing your holiday shopping for you. You are welcome. Also:

This beautiful Rebecca Taylor dress is only available in two sizes but I love it and want one of you to buy it because I can't.

Finally, this Vince tuxedo jacket is juuuuust under the $100 mark but it's an investment piece that will look amazing thrown over anything - graphic tee, silk blouse, whatever, this jacket will make it cool. (I'm not sure why the model hates it, but I sure love it!)

BUY THIS (So We Don't Have To): TJ Maxx Report.

I don't have a shopping report for you because I spent the weekend racing my bike, so instead, I've dug into the TJ Maxx website to find you some deals on bags, boots and jackets (aka My Favorite Things.) First:

I posted this Frye tote in August when it was new to the site and now it's on clearance! It'll go fast.

This gorgeous plum Aimee Kestenberg hobo is also on clearance! That color, y'all. Now, boots:

While there are a mess of Frye boots on the site, this Marc Fisher pair is what caught my eye. I dig the big zipper.
And, call me crazy but I really love these KorkEase boots! The grey leather with that wood heel looks really modern. Ready for jackets?

Oh man. This leather jacket is Rag & Bone and it is REALLY COOL. SO FREAKING COOL. Ugh.

For a leather jacket that's a bit more grown, this one by Theory looks buttery and expensive. And...

since it sometimes rains in the fall (sigh) and we should be practical, how about a really well-priced navy trench from Cole Haan? Orrrrr....

LEATHER JEANS. YES. Who cares about practicality when you can have leather skinny jeans? Thank you that is all. *bows*

BUY THIS (So We Don't Have To): TJ Maxx New Arrivals.

The TJ Maxx website is super overwhelming and nearly impossible to search but never fear, I have done all the hard work for you and found some bargains among the new arrivals (and some of the not-really-new arrivals) I think are worth checking out:

Ooooh, jackets. I do love jackets and this BCBG leather jacket is such an interesting color! Also, I think the flappy parts zip off if you want a sleeker look. (I personally like the flappy parts, but it is versatile.) For something similar but way less expensive, the Blank NYC jacket Marianne and I both have is available for a steal:

How pretty is that cognac color? It also comes in a really nice dark teal. It runs a little big, just FYI. Now, bags:

More Frye totes! This one is a very classic Frye cognac leather and will only get better as it ages. There's also this beauty:

Which is the coolest greige color and will go with everything in your closet unless you wear a lot of grey/beige, I guess. My final Frye pick:

These boots are very classic and very beautiful and will look exceedingly cute with skinny jeans and a big cozy sweater. One day. When it's not summer. (We're looking ahead, here.) Fine:

These Vince Camuto sneakers are very on-trend and you can wear them right this second. Yay! Now, moving on to jewelry:

I keep wearing my labradorite drop earrings on the blog and these are so similar, but more streamlined. They're really inexpensive, too! But....

I'm also pretty fond of these little gold snake crawler earrings and I keep going back to see if they're still there. My final pick is going to be controversial, but hear me out:

That's right, it's a bejeweled tiger necklace and it can ONLY make your life more awesome. Throw this on over a plain black top and watch people flock to you like like a moth to a glittery flame. It is magnificent and I will not hear your arguments against it. The end.

PS. There's a bunch of Oribe products in the beauty section.

TJ Maxx Report: So Many Good Bags!

Every now and then I plow through all the new arrivals and clearance-priced items on the TJ Maxx website just to see what's what. This week, it's all about the bag section. If Frye bags are you thing there are a TON of them. My favorite was this beautiful tote:

It's exactly the kind of tote that just gets better with age and (I'm assuming) it's made of way nicer leather than the similarly priced Madewell Transport tote. I am just saying. I also love this Frye hobo:

The peacock color is gorgeous and I suspect it'll sell out quickly. This bag is also available in cognac at Nordstrom Rack, just FYI.

Some of the bag brands at TJM are weird - either Italian no-name bags or brands like Tano that you only see at TJM and the like. Don't discount these bags! They're often quite good quality and look expensive:

HAVE YOU EVER. This is everything I want in a sleek red satchel. Damn. I also found another good satchel - a VERY nicely priced Aimee Kestenberg:

$60 for a good leather satchel? That is a bargain. And finally, this Vince Camuto Gally bag that I can personally attest to being a really excellent small crossbody:

Finally, I know this is about TJ Maxx bags but I accidentally found this AllSaints bag on NR and I thought you should know about it:

Am I right? That is just ridiculously perfect and comes in a couple of other colors. Have fun!

BUY THIS (So We Don't Have To): TJ Maxx is Sparking Crazy Joy.

TJ Maxx is so refreshing right now! There is a bunch of TRULY RIDICULOUS stuff on the site right now that is making me really happy. I mean, listen, even if I were a wealthy person I'd still be living in a van down by the river because I'd have spent all my money on delightful and absurd animal-shaped bags. Like this crab and this panda bear. I would be so happy in my van, you guys. Like, who doesn't want a bejeweled owl clutch? Nobody, that's who.

Okay, I'm going to focus now. Just for you I have scrabbled all through the TJ Maxx website to find the delightful things among the weird and WTF. Let's do this:

This Milly dress isn't inexpensive, but isn't it pretty?

Wear these with the Milly dress. Or with anything, really.

You're over your winter coats but still need a coat. This is your perfect spring coat.

This parrot clutch sparks crazy joy. I mean, come on.

Rag & Bone! This is how you update your denim right here.

You definitely need this kimono for swanning about or maybe for the pool.

A really nice leather dupe of the Rebecca Minkoff Julian backpack.

I love the bright color + chiffon layers thing here. Floaty!

Marianne says we can totally pull off a romper, y'all.

Silver sandals! Spring is coming! I promise!

Okay, I don't know what the hell this is but I do know I love it.

BUY THIS (Because I'm Poor): TJ Maxx Clearance Finds Under $20.

Hi! I am feeling poverty stricken lately because of a bunch of not-huge but definitely unexpected expenses. Yay. When money is tight but I'm feeling shoppy, I go all super-bargain and look for cheap thrills. I've pawed all over the Summer Clearance Event at TJ Maxx and found a bunch of good stuff that's all under $20.

Now is the time to stock up on cute summer tops. This one by Chelsea and Theodore is only $15.

This embroidered top by RXB is $12 and damn, so cute. Sleeve tassels!

I love my Lisa Freede hinged bracelet and this one (in three colors) is now $12. Retail was $103!

There's also a pair of Lisa Freede Starburst earrings that match. $10!

How pretty are these Louise Et Cie earrings? Why aren't they mine? Originally $98, now $15. ($10 in pyrite.)

How's your cardigan game? Is it weak like mine? This $15 striped cardi solves that problem.

My favorite dress is still available in small but this one by Cable & Gauge is available in more sizes. Both $15.

This Cynthia Rowley tank dress is such a good basic and the hem gives it interest. Only $15.

Another Lisa Freede find! This Open Pave ring is ridiculously fun and only $12, which is how it should be.

Want one of those fun strappy bras but don't want to pay $60? This X by Gottex bra is $10!

This one is also pretty damn cute! Ugh, I want both. $10! I can't even.

PS. There is a bunch of high-end makeup in the clearance section - NARS, Vincent Longo, By Terry, YSL, Cle De Peau! There's also some good makeup deals in the regular section, including Jane Iredale and Anastasia Beverly Hills. I am going to take a nap, now.

bye bye
