Monday Mood: My WFH Uniform.

As I'm settling in to week 10 of working from home, my outfits have also settled into a sad kind of uniform. I still try to add in a bit of flair every day - earrings, perfume, mascara, something to make me feel like a real human person. But, my day-to-day outfit is pretty much always this:

Man, do I love a t-shirt. Most of my Everlane tees have become sleep/lounge wear at this point but my Madewell Whisper tees (or get 3 for $45 here) are generally what I'm wearing every day. They are comfy and come in a million colors and the v-neck is just right. I also love the split hem- they just fall better.

I still occasionally shoehorn my ass into a pair of jeans but mostly I'm wearing Athleta pants - my new pair of Brooklyn ankle pants or my Chelsea cargo. They're super lightweight, have pockets and they don't cut me in half while I'm sitting at my dining room table desk. My favs are not currently marked down but the similar Uptown Ankle Pant (which I haven't personally tried) is on sale!
Also, with summer weather coming soon, I'm considering Athleta shorts - I have my eye on Camo Farallon Short, specifically.

My shoes around the house are pretty much always Birkenstocks, though as the weather has warmed up, I've switched from my shearling clogs to my Arizonas. I sincerely can't recommend them enough. Classic, vaguely hideous, the absolute best.

Will I ever go back to wearing a real bra again? I mean, probably. But lately it's been all True & Co. no-wire stretchy action around here. The ugliest one is the absolute best but I also love this one with skinny adjustable straps. They're both on sale right now too!

Of course there's a hoodie involved, usually the older model of this one from Athleta. Its just the right amount of comfy and cute and pockets! Always pockets, because you just never know.

Adrien: Fall Uniform.

Hi hi hi. I'm back with another "this is my uniform" weekend outfit but really, this is what I'd wear pretty much every single day if I could get away with it:

I'm wearing my Everlane Heavyweight Tee which is probably not the most flattering thing I own but oh man, I love it so much. It's got that good Breton shape and is heavy enough that it's more like a light sweater than a t-shirt. I really want another one and I'm thinking the grey/black colorway? It reminds me of this Boden top that I wanted but missed out on. My jeans are Fidelity Sola skinnies and they've been a great purchase. I wear these and my Madewell coated jeans the most. They just fit so well.

It was not very warm on Saturday so I added a scarf and my Madewell Beckett jacket, which I never show in it's zipped up state, so here you go. I mean, the (faux) leather trim just makes it, right? This Etienne Marcel jacket has similar cool details but is more than I'd spend. I honestly just love the Madewell Fleet jacket. It's streamlined but still really cool. I mean, the dark metal colorway? That is it.

On to details!

My usual Cluse rose gold watch and a necklace made by Eliza Spell, who also happens to be the sister of my close friend Ashley. Eliza also owns a really amazing jewelry shop in town called Nine Roses that makes me want All The Things. Be warned.

This bag, you guys. I'm sorry I can't seem to stop using it but it's just good. This deep blue version on eBay is a decent deal and this is a very fair price for a NWT in black*.  If I were to lose my mind and buy a new Marc Jacobs hobo, it would be this one. So pretty! But... I like to eat so my bargain pick is this surprisingly sleek hobo at Kohls

My scarf! This is from Ann Taylor from several years ago. I also have a skirt in this print and another scarf in the red leopard version. They currently have this cheetah print scarf which I think is awfully pretty but this one at Mango looks a lot more like mine.

Finally, my chelsea boots. These are from Madewell and I love them and highly recommend. Comfortable right out of the box! They're nearly gone on the Madewell site but Shopbop has a few sizes left. Though really, there are so many good chelsea boot options out there. I want most of them.

*As always when I suggest eBay items, please contact the sellers with questions and do your research! I can't guarantee these things.

Marianne: Spring Uniform.

And just like that, I have settled into a spring uniform. Typically I rely on dresses and sandals (maybe with a cardigan on top) in spring, but the weather has been so unpredictable that I find myself in the following at least a couple times a week:
Patterned blouse? Check. Easy lipstick? Check. Perfect bootcut jeans? Check. Fun bag? Check. Super fun flat sandals? Checkety check.
First, let's talk about the top. This is a Kenar blouse, and I found it at TJMaxx for under $20. Kenar is one of those random department store brands I think, because I can't really find it online. Anyway, I loved the hummingbird pattern like whoa, it reminds me a bit of this Rachel Roy shirt but with a MUCH more doable pricetag (this Joe Fresh shirt is a bit brighter but it's got a similar cut and more hummingbirds!). Even though "put a bird on it" has become a joke, I love hummingbirds and am digging all of the cute clothes that feature them right now (I mean come ON!). Someone both younger and shorter than me needs to go buy this $24 dress, okay?
On my feets are the very same See by Chloe sandals that I linked to a couple weeks back on a Weekend Window Shopping post. I couldn't stop thinking about them and what a great deal they were, so I bought them for myself as a little "hooray I got a promotion" present. They are perfect, so chic and super comfortable and I just LOVE how shiny they are. They are hard to come by in a lot of sizes, but these are actually pretty similar don't you think? $35!
The bag is a Rebecca Minkoff MAB Mini on loan from Adrien, and it's just perfect for spring...as long as it doesn't rain because it gets water spots if you even look at it wrong. It's worth babying that beautiful teal though.

So there you go, my early spring uniform. I'm looking forward to dresses but I have to say this is a pretty comfortable and cute combo for the time being.

Marianne: Fall Weekend Momiform

Working on these outfit sets for our last reader question has me thinking lately about my own mom "uniforms" or "momiforms" as I jokingly call them. In the summer it's so easy to throw on shorts and a top and flat sandals and call it a day but this weekend's crisp weather called for something with more forethought. A trip to the zoo meant comfort and layers, and looking semi presentable (because if I don't look presentable, I run into ex-boyfriends. Yes.).

And so, here is a momiform I reach for a lot in the cooler months of fall. Relaxed jeans, a long tank top and tissue weight t-shirt, a cozy oversized cardigan, fun sneakers, and a scarf. Done.

Cute toddler optional.
