Adrien: Spring Wanty Blues.

Oh, it's spring and you know what that means - I want stuff and apparently it's almost all blue stuff I want. I think the neon trend is fun, but I was, um, alive in the 80's and I am not so sure I can pull this off a second time as I am positive I didn't pull it off the first time. But, I do dig the bright, saturated colors quite a bit. I compiled a bunch of photos of things I really liked for spring and then when I looked at the folder I laughed because apparently all I want to wear it blue. Blue! BLUE EVERYTHING. Seriously:

And! If money were no object I would buy these so fast it would give me the spins:

I KNOW. I KNOW.  Ugh, I can't stand it! I love them so much it makes me angry. Okay, just to break my own pattern, I also like this:

It's basically my pink blouse in dress form, which might be fun. Or is might be a freak-ton of bright pink. Hm. I do intend on getting one or two more colors in that Target dress I posted about recently. I think it's funny that it's call a "Value Dress" because nothing says, "I feel pretty" like the world VALUE. Ugh. But, I want it in this color (which would look great with those Chies I just posted RAGERAGERAGE):

And maybe this:

Okay, that's enough from me. What do you kids want for spring? Do tell.

  1. Love your picks!
I want tops like the second one... to get me out of the t-shirt habit and look more put-together.

I like the neon trend in SMALL doses, like a cheap bangle.

    1. Totally agree. I think it might be neon toes and maybe a small accessory, but that's it. AND, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

  2. I actually was at Old Navy yesterday and almost went home with the first blue top. It's much brighter than it looks in that photo- I'm going back to get it today at lunch!

  3. a note on the target dresses-- I went to the store and got the navy one after seeing your post. I love it and was surprised that it was long enough and the waist was reasonably in the right place (I'm 5'11"). but then I ordered the purple and olive green color on line and they are completely different! Tee olive in particular in a medium is about 5 inches shorter and higher waisted than my navy blue small! Its easy to take online stuff back to target, so its worth the shot, but just a note of caution.

    1. Oh, what a bummer! I just ordered the purple one so hopefully it's not completely different. Definitely the drawback of cheap clothing - no quality control.

    2. but the purple color is lovely in person! and it was at least less wacky-sized than the green. i might even still keep it.

  4. I have been on a bender with Boden's spring clothes, mostly their tunics. The husband is getting suspicious of the packages that keep arriving on our front stoop.

  5. Those Chie sandals are gorgeous. I have my eye on them too. I had to size 1 full size up when I tried hem on. I hope you end up getting them:). Great picks!

  6. I have the second blue top already, but in the pink pattern! I also bought a bright green top that is similar to the first blue one, but it ties in front. I love both of them because they are so light and airy! Perfect for the humidity that has already been creeping up here in Miami so I think you should go get your ON picks, at least. Like tomorrow. :P

  7. I want a natural hourglass figure like yours, mkay? Not hitting on you, just bemoaning my twizzle stick build. I feel as if this one thing was changed, I could wear anything and look fabulous, right?
    The bright blue blouse rocks.
    Thanks,
    Micaela

  8. UM! You can totally DIY those shoes! Find a cheap pair of blue shoes for the base and I'll even do it for you! And agree that neon is best done is small accessories
