Adrien: Pre-Pre-Fall Boots.

It is too early to talk about boots? Because I want to anyway. Every fall (or pre-fall. Or, pre-pre-fall. Shut up.) I get obsessed with a particular pair of boots. Last year it was these. And these. This pre-pre-fall I have decided that I want a pair of tough-ish ankle boots with a bit of a heel.

I'd already eyed the Acne Pistol:

But I had to try and forget about them immediately because they're out of my price range. Like, way out. Asshole boots. Then, stupid Gwyneth sent me her Goop thing and these were in it:

OH MY GOD. Stop it, Goopy! Ugh. She is just hateful with her perfect, perfect boots. They are perfect. Exactly what I want.  And just as expensive as the Acne pair. So then I start scrambling for a less-expensive version to try and displace The Want onto something I can actually, reasonably obtain. I found these:

Really cute, right? I will probably buy one of these, for sure. But. BUT.  I still want the perfect ones. Ugh. I'm going to go sulk in a corner now.

  1. I'm new around here - but you've got to get off that goop list.
    She's a bad influence.

  2. Um, I bought a pair of new boots two weeks ago. They are just sitting in the closet waiting for cooler weather.

  3. How would you wear those boots? It's a good thing I often can't figure that out with different kinds of boots because my closet is full enough. But with these...skinny jeans or leggings but what else? Please guide me o style guru :D

  4. I'm torn between the Frye Taylor short boots and the Madewell Zipcode boots. What do you think?

    1. Katie, I like the Madewell Zipcode a lot! I'm not a fan of the Frye Taylor short, but only because I'm not big on western style.

    1. Me too, I think it's my favorite after the impossible Acne boots.

  6. You probably don't want to hear this, but those Rag & Bone boots are incredibly comfortable and well-made.

    1. Sorry! If it makes you feel better, that Rick Owens leather jacket that Marianne posted is so beautiful it HURTS MY EYES. And yet it will never be mine, much like Ewen McGregor.

  7. I'm not sure if you've already bought your boots already (probably, right?), but Nordstrom has a nearly identical boot for $100 right now - the Vince Camuto Hadley. It also comes in taupe and brown. I'm going to get the black as soon as I get my next paycheck hahha

My size was sold out almost immediately, so I went with a different brand!
