What I Bought At Sephora.

I added a bunch more stuff to the blog shop yesterday! Frye, BCBG, Anthro, J.Crew! Whee!

Last week was Sephora's big VIB sale, which was 20% off for VIB-status folks. I had just gotten a load of makeup from Marianne so I wasn't feeling super wanty, but I did buy a few things:

Mushroomy

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Mushroom
I have been eyeing this one for a while because it reminds me of a (now discontinued) MAC eye kohl pencil that I used to love. A taupey-grey-purple color. It's a good one.

Good stuff.

Benefit Cosmetics Dandelion
This is probably the fourth time I've re-purchased this. I always go through this quiet struggle where I'm sure I can find a dupe, it's just pale pink blush, right? But nothing is quite as good, so I keep buying it. Also, I really like the packaging and the little brush that comes with it.

The bossy English lady likes it.

CLINIQUE Mild Clarifying Lotion
This was highly recommended by Caroline Hirons as a great, non-drying acid toner. You get a lot of product for your money and it's really quite nice, though I haven't been using it long enough to give a fair assessment. Time will tell.

Also, has anyone tried the CLINIQUE Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer? I got a sample with my order but it was about eight shades too dark. The concept seems interesting, though.

  1. I'm intrigued by the toner. I have dry skin and large pores. I bought several items from Sephora yesterday and my favorite purchase so far is the Origins overnight moisture mask. My skin feels so soft today.

  2. I'm curious about the toner too. I asked for a sample of it at my local counter and the SA was very hesitant to recommend it, not sure why. Let us know what you think of it.

    1. It's funny, if you read the reviews on MUA about this toner, other people have said the same thing - that the SAs are really weird about selling it and will try to talk you into a different one.

  3. What moisturizer should I buy for under eye fine lines? Also, I am on a budget. Merci beaucoup!

    1. For a budget eye cream, I'd suggest Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Eye Cream. You can get it at Target.

  4. Thanks, Target just closed its doors in Canada but I will check at drugstores.
