Adrien: Banged.

A little while ago I asked you guys if you thought I could pull off blunt bangs and the encouragement was positive, so I just went and did it. (Or rather, my stylist did it. Otherwise things would be Real Bad.) I was more worried about changing my part than I was about the bangs, but my hair seems mostly okay with it:

not at all filtered.

That photo makes my hair look pretty flat but hey, BANGS. This is what it looked like this morning:

tooootally not filtered.

I'm still (obviously) learning how to dry it and make things lay correctly, but overall I'm happy with the cut. I needed a CHANGE, y'all. I needed something different. If you have that urge, I highly recommend just going with it.

Now, do you straight-hairs have any good product recommendations for me? I'm currently using Aveda Phomollient (eh, no longer love it) and will probably buy the Bumble & bumble Straight Blow Dry (why did I stop using this?) or a tube of the Repair Blow Dry. What else do I need?

  4. Ditto this girl; I also love your bangs! No specific product recommendation but my helpful hint is to get some dry shampoo for your purse or office. I love having bangs but in the summer mine get oily pretty fast (presumably because they're brushing up against my forehead and my skin goes haywire when it gets hot--it's not Science but it's a good guess). And when my bangs get oily I get strangely self-conscious and ugh then I skip happy hour and hang out with my cat who doesn't judge me and my weird hair. This could be a commercial for dry shampoo. :)

  5. I have frizzy hair, so no bangs for me and no product recs. But I love them! They look cool, and I think they set off your hair color so well!

  6. Looks fab! Your eyes are magnificent like this. Dry your bangs horizontally instead of vetically. So left to right, right to left. That makes them perfect.

  8. You look lovely! I'm currently obsessed with this R and Co hair oil my stylist friend gave me: http://www.neimanmarcus.com/R-Co-Tinsel-Smoothing-Oil-2-1-oz/prod178640055/p.prod?srccode=cii_17588969&cpncode=37-41926225-2&ecid=NMCIGoogleProductAds It's good stuff, but haven't tested it in summer humidity yet.

  9. Love it! Bumble's Brilliantine is great for shine and texture, without being too heavy. Great for lightly running through your ends!
