Adrien: Black Monday

I didn't so much do the Black Friday thing this year and I pretty much skip it every year, to be honest. I just don't like crowds and I really don't like getting up at the crack of dawn. Instead, I wait until Monday and paw through the dregs. Great strategy, Adrien! But in this case I think it paid off. I combed the sale racks at Ann Taylor to take advantage of the extra 40% off they were offering and got this wrap dress for practically nothing. They were giving clothes away, you guys. The color will probably work best for spring, but paired with charcoal and gold I think it winterizes pretty nicely.

Did you score any great Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals? Do tell.

    1. Thank you! I've never been one to think wrap dresses are "universally flattering" but I'm pretty happy with this one.

  2. Dress is perfect. And you must have like absolutely no abdomen.

    2. I am so glad you said this. I have a friend who swears by them, but the price tag is a bit steep for tights. I really oughta just bite the bullet and shell out the $30...

      I really love your shoes.

    3. If you have a Nordstrom Rack or Bloomingdales outlet nearby, you can always find Spanx tights half off. But they really are worth the money even full price.

    4. Ooo, good tip! I found this blog via GOMI (someone posted a link to your sartorialist satire--no snark!) and it's already one of my favorites.

  3. Oh god, I was the WORST on Cyber Monday. The worst. Also, I went outlet shopping on Saturday. Ugh, it was bad, Adrien.

  4. That dress is fantastic on you! I scored some Marc Fisher Arty boots in black for just under $100 tax inc. (reg $169). I was looking for them specifically and had no idea they were a morning special at Macy's.
