Adrien: By Request

A reader asked if I could post an outfit with the BP Trolley ankle boots I bought recently and yes! Yes I can. I'm also wearing my new DVF coat that Nina found me this summer and I love it so so much. It's really fantastic. The only downside is that it has a belt but no belt loops so I'm pretty much going to lose it immediately. (Right now it's shoved in my bag so yeah, this is not going to end well.)

I am happy to report that the boots are working out great. They are moderately comfortable and I did end up sizing up a half size. Check it:

belt!
no belt.
Isn't this blogger-y?
I love the snap closure thingies.

  1. Very cute coat. If you can get it to me (and can part with it long enough) I bet M or I could sew the belt to the back of the coat.

    1. Aw, thanks, but if I sewed it on I couldn't wear the coat open. I might hit up M for some other sewing though!

  2. I think the jacket looks great without the belt, even when closed.

    1. Thanks! That's probably how I'll end up wearing it. The belt can stay home.

    2. I totally agree - lose the belt. The coat looks more sophistocated without it.

    1. Of course! You'll see more of those boots, too. I like 'em.

  5. I had a similar belt/coat situation and I safety pinned it to the back seam-- so when untied it's open and dangling (belt loop having style), un-doable, and less lose-able.

See what I did there, I wrote a little poem.
