BUY THIS (So We Don't Have To): J.Crew Downtown Field Jacket.

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with my olive (or as J.Crew likes to fancy it, mossy brown) Downtown Field Jacket and I will wear it until it's sad and dead. I love it. And I am absolutely gnashing my terrible teeth over the new color:
Ugh, I'm such a great color.

    You know, I love the idea of the jacket, especially the color, but . . . that is a lot of shiny brass buttons. I can see 19 in the picture. I would be getting out my steel wool to dull them down a bit.

      I actually love the shiny brass buttons, but FWIW they tarnish down pretty quickly.

    Who says that you only need one? I have two (black and mossy brown) and wear them both. I'm going to enable you and say go for it if you love the color and can see outfits with it. It's a classic that won't go out of style. That's paybacks for all the money I've spent after you've highlighted something good. :)

    I've been eyeing that jacket for a while. It never gets super cold here so it would take me through most of our Winter.
