I woke up gradually this morning and it took a moment to sink in that it was Monday and that I should be waking up to an alarm. Oops. But, with the help of my Monday dress I pulled it together.
A Monday dress is one that doesn't require ironing or fancy under pinings or anything requiring thought. Mine is from Old Navy and it's sold out but this Striped Tee Dress has similar Monday possibilities and this Tie-Neck Swing Dress would be a perfect super easy summer-to-fall transition dress. This Sleeveless Sheath Dress and this Waisted Shirt Dress would also be a good, basic work options that wouldn't require much thinking. Critical for a Monday.
For a slightly dressier version of what I'm wearing, this striped CeCe dress looks really flattering and this Boden Lucinda dress is pretty much killing me. Ugh, so cute. Details:
I kept things simple with my Madewell Ensign necklace which is currently on sale as is a ton of cute Madewell jewelry including this Arrowshift pendant that I want pretty badly. My watch is a CLUSE 'La Bohème' in rose gold and I love it a lot. My ring is hard to see but it's Alexis Bittar for the Box of Style. He makes the best crazy rings.
Because my dress is so casual (and slightly shapeless) I thought a pair of cute heels and a work-y MBMJ tote would help grow it up a bit. I think everyone should have a subtle metallic bag and this gold LRL tote is basically perfect. I'm also fond of the Vince Camuto Leila tote and it comes in a really nice metallic. Here's a ridiculous close-up of my Chie Mihara sandals:
These are super old but I love the bright orange piping. It's hard to find anything even remotely similar, but I do keep an eye out for good sale prices on Chies. This is a screaming deal on a really fun pair Chie sandals. I love the little buckles. And these might be the perfect black sandals. The heel height is just right! And ooh, this is a really good price on a cute color-block pair that is similar to my tan Chies. And! Cute yellow Chie sandals (size 37) for $76?? Someone buy those immediately. Sorry. I will stop now.
