Adrien: Boooooooots.

I bought a pair of flat black riding boots on eBay last year and I love them a lot but struggle a bit trying to figure out how to wear them with skirts and dresses. I think, in general, flat boots tend to work best with narrow skirts, as impressed on me at the tender age of 13 when Molly Ringwald rocked this look in the Breakfast Club. Man, those were some kick ass boots.



This morning, I decided to do a pencil skirt and flat boots and I wanted to keep it (kind of) edgy because something about black boots just demands it, so I picked my knit moto jacket thing instead of my usual boring cardigan. I don't know, I'm not sure if it works from the waist up, but I love the skirt and boots together:

    I think that is a totally rockin' outfit, even the top part. And it makes me even more determined to get those boots we talked about yesterday (assuming they fit).

    Those Breakfast Club boots are the "field boot" style of riding boots I've been going nuts over!

    This looks great. I love that jacket so hard! Yeah, I don't know about boots and full long skirts either.
