Adrien: Comfort Zone

If you've been checking out the blog for a while you might have noticed I'm not big on button-up blouses. (Or maybe it never occurred to you which is totally valid because why the hell should you care if I don't do blouses?) But! I will still tell you why. It's mainly because they're a harder fit, usually require ironing and ugh, I don't know. It's just not my thing. But, there are always exceptions! Always.

I wanted something loose I could wear with skinny pants or jeans and I found it at Old Navy, of all places. Probably won't last forever, but it got me out of my comfort zone and I'm pretty happy with how it looks in the photos:

top: Old Navy Breezy Blouse
cardigan: Gap (similar)
pants: Gap (similar)
shoes: Chie Mihara
necklace: J Crew Boho Locket
bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo

  1. I feel the same about blouses generally -- I think it's the collars that get to me most. I could try one like yours that doesn't have a collar. BTW, the phrase "big girl's blouse" always cracks me up: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=a%20big%20girls%20blouse

  3. ha! no, it had not occurred to me, but it wasn't so hard now, was it? So cute with the drapey cardigan!

I have far too many blouses I've collected over the years, but I finally started wearing them last year, when I realized all I needed was actual skirts and bottoms to wear them with!

  5. It does look good on you! Feel you on the ironing. Least favorite thing ever. You do seem pretty waist centric but it's not like anyone couldn't tell you aren't slender under there! I dig it!
