Adrien: Seriously, I'm a fraud.

There was supposed to be a new outfit post here, especially since I didn't post many last week. So I tried. I tried and tried and tried to find something to wear that I hadn't already worn and I failed, mostly because I'd originally decided to wear pants today.

This just in: I hate pants. Specifically, I hate my pants. I don't actually own many pairs, and now I want to burn what pairs I do own. I have one particularly heinous pair of grey pinstriped Banana Republic Martin Fit trousers (two, actually) that I'm ruing the day I purchased because they are unflattering, too high-waisted, and also fully lined (which is normally a good thing but in this case the lining just wants to cling to my legs and be intimate with me in a way that makes my skin crawl. Being sexually harassed by your freaking pants is no way to start a Monday.

So, I ripped it all off and put on something that looks like this:

Combined with this:

And yes, I was late for work.

  1. The Martin trousers are my favorite. You don't happen to have them in a size 2 or 4, do you? Cause I will buy them off you.

  2. I think they're both size 6, unfortunately.

  4. Hey Adrien! Just fyi, I only buy my work pants at Club Monaco and they are to die for, material-wise, fit-wise and cut! I know they dont have stores everywhere and they dont sell online (hopefully soon though), but just wanted to let you know that there is HOPE out there :)

  5. Don't be so hard on yourself - it's just a blog ;) (This coming from a 365- MIA-Blogger who has hopes to soon get her blog-act together).

  6. Club Monaco sells pants online at shopbop.

Thanks for the heads up about the pants...I was thinking about pulling the trigger on a few martin fit at br.

And thanks for adding me to your blogroll!

  7. Oh, don't discount the Martin fit because of me. Pants just don't fit me right in general.

  8. BR changed the cut of the Martin Fit recently. I used to be able to buy them without trying them on and they were perfect, now there is a weird bunching that happens and they're all wrong.

Ann Taylor and J. Crew dress pants are far superior IMO.
