Marianne: The Basics.

I don't know how it is where you live, but around here people are in a hurry for summer to be over. I know it has been hot, but personally I will really miss being about to roll out of bed, throw on a dress, a cute pair of sandals, and a million bracelets and call it done.
So I'm curious: are you wishing away these last days of summer, dreaming of sweaters and jeans and boots? Or are you like me, wondering what the hell we are going to do with ourselves when we can't go to the pool every weekend?
dress: Max Studio (similar print here)
wedges: Chie Mihara Hito in Curry (another pair of gorgeous yellow wedges here)
bracelets: various handmade

  1. I love fall. I adore jeans, scarves, sweaters, boots. I love the crispness in the air. And both my boys have fall birthdays. I won't argue with you. It was pretty nice to get up and throw on a dress and some sandals this morning but fall is still my favorite!

  3. I'm actually getting tired of my summer wardrobe, but I am not hoping for the end of summer at all. Canadian winters seem endless sometimes so I savour every minute of warm weather.
I love waking up and being able to just though on a dress, rather than hunting around for matching socks or tights.

  4. I wore shoes yesterday for the fist time in months. You know, the kind with toes and backs. Within an hour I had blisters. I'm ok with a long summer...my feet are, too. Plus, I'm tan now and everything looks better when I have color. I'll be sad when that fades...

  5. I will miss summer a lot since Chicago winters can be so brutal. We are having glorious weather this week. I love Fall but I wouldn't mind if summer would go for another month. I am so not looking forward to driving in ice and snow. :-(

  6. I love fall. But then, I live in S. CA so fall is just a slightly better version of summer! LOL I will still throw on a cute dress, but I'll get to pair it with suede boots and scarves!
