Adrien: Back to Business.

It's been a rough week, hasn't it? Everything feels pretty bleak in my world and I wasn't much interested in posting my (rather uninspiring outfit) from Monday but I'm doing it because it feels good to do something normal, to get back to it. That's what we do, right? Okay:

I know. It was Monday and my main concern was comfort. I'm wearing my favorite Everlane v-neck cashmere sweater and the best non-denim jeans I own. Seriously! They're 7 For All Mankind slim cigarette in a brushed twill and they're super soft and comfortable. Unfortunately they don't make this style in the brushed twill anymore, but J Brand has a similar pair in a fun color and this pair of Joe's Jeans are black brushed twill and will also apparently charge your iPhone. I am not making this up. Oh! And this pair of brushed twill cranberry 7FAMK skinny jeans would totally be mine if they had my size.  You might be wondering why I'm standing in the corner all awkward? This is why:

More daylight in the morning is great but not for this particular wall. Yay. My review of this Everlane sweater is here and I also have an older incarnation in charcoal grey. They have a lot more cashmere options now but most of them are too boxy for me. I do really want this new cardigan though. (It's not cashmere, but I love the color!) Details:

My necklace is a Giles and Brother hook pendant which isn't available anymore but I do love their railroad spike pendant too! I'm also wearing my CLUSE La Boheme rose gold watch. A staple. My bag is my much-carried MBMJ Too Hot To Handle Hobo in cement. This MMK hobo seems like it might be an elegant substitute.

A better view of my Frye Emma flats can be seen in this recent outfit. They're long sold out but I always keep an eye on the Frye flats at 6pm because occasionally a good bargain pops up. Like, this pair for instance which I like very, very much.  I also like these ear climbers which I had no business even looking at much less putting in my cart. Oops.

I finished my comfortable look with my favorite Madewell Et Sézane jacket and my Barbour Union Jack scarf that I adore. (It's on sale, you should get one.) My Madewell coat is from last year and after Marianne got one I just HAD to be a jerk copy her so I stalked it on eBay. (Sorry Marianne!) It's a good one and I also really, really like the new Et Sézane line. Because of course.

I hope this entry was a happy distraction for whatever amount of time you took to read it. Hang in there, ladies.

  1. I bought that scarf for a friend who is a serious Brit-Phile and she loves it too. It looks fabulous on you!

  2. Love the outfit! Being in southern california, it's still high 80's here...so we can only dream of cozy sweaters!

  4. Sending best wishes and support if you need it. Thanks for posting, I needed a distraction, and thinking about sweaters was a nice one.

I'm wearing that striped TJMaxx dress you posted about a while ago, thanks for that!
